Is 2010 your year to find a man?

As we end 2009 I can’t not stop and ask a question about your goals for 2010 as it relates to finding a man or at least getting back into the dating scene.

As a single woman or single mother what are your plans when it comes to dating and in particular online dating? Will you be joining any particular online dating site or are you happy to leave it to circumstance and fate and see who comes along in 2010?

I went through an experience of finding men on online dating sites who were happy just to invite you to their place for a meal – no more dating and going out  – it’s straight to their house for dinner and expected sex. Not my thing really. If a man doesn’t want to spend some money on a date I see that as a huge flaw!

There was a time when cooking for a woman was considered quite romantic and it could lead on to other things but it usually happened after dating for a while. Now I guess we just want everything faster – why wait!

Are you ready to find a man in 2010?

Would you stay with a man you found boring?

You met him at an online dating site and he is really nice. His profile shows that he is dependable and he really wants to provide for his family. What he is offering is stability and security but what he is, is a little traditional, set in his ways, living according to routine, no goals in life and not much to say for himself. Your conversations are over in less than 30 minutes and you have only just met.

Do you stay with him and hope things pick up or kick him to the kerb?
